It is with great glee that I announce that "Ember", Chelsea Hot Smoke and Sassafras, completed her championship on March 18, at Skyline Dog fanciers of San Mateo under Mr. K Tippie by going BOW for her second major! Ember is a particular favorite of ours as she is such a regal presence in our home. Joetta and I fight over who will house her so we can feast our eyes upon her "highness"! Guess it is time I shared her with my wonderful co-owner, Joetta Melton.

THEY'RE HEEEEERE!!!

Anybody who knows me knows This has been a very stressful two months for me. Since the tragic death of my dear friend, Jean Pascal Botella, on January 12 efforts have been in place to bring Davis back home and help Antonio (JP's partner who will return to his homeland of Brazil) with the dispersal of their wonderful stock.

It is with great excitement and relief that I announce the safe arrival home of DAVIS!!!!! He bounded out of his crate from his long two day journey woo-wooing and waggy tailed. It was a very emotional reunion. Along with Davis on the same flight we are proud to announce the arrival of "Mimi", JP's pride and joy, BIS/SBIS Ch Sol y Sombra Soleil d' Orient to join our family. We are also proud to include "Thierry" Sol Y Sombra Palais Royal as a temporary family member as he spends his quarantine months here in America on his way to Age Gjetnes and Espen Engh of Norway.

We wish to thank Antonio for offering Mimi to us and, of course, sending Davis home. We must also mention the invaluable assistance of Liz Megginson and Bryan Kelly for which this monumental task could not have taken place without them.

Delta has come into her own in a big way!!! We were thrilled when judge Barbara Alderman took Delta to BOB (over two specials) from the open bitch class at Kings KC of California., March 5, 2006. I must further note that Delta gathered a rather vocal cheering section from the ringside spectators of whom this proud owner/handler did not even know. Delta was not finished for the day. She went onto a HOUND GROUP1 !!!!!!!!! We are so thrilled that Delta won a major for the effort.

HUGE congratulations are extended to Deborah Bahm for the victory of Multi BIS/SBIS DC Chelsea Made You Look of Sage, FCh, ROMX for #1 stud dog in the United States for 2005. This honor he has held for the last 4 years running (the first year he was tied with his sire, Rush).
A close second was DC Chelsea Long Kiss Goodnight, FCh, ROMX for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Jean Pascal Botella for this impressive feat. Davis was used on a limited basis during his 2 year stay in the states while he ran for his titles.

It should be noted that yet another Rush son has been high in the rankings for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Ch Snowcap Wildcard Goodfellow, ROMX for a job well done!

Jasper finished with back to back 4 point majors at Kachina KC this last weekend. His record is most impressive. He was shown a grand total of 10 times all in the puppy classes. Of those 10 outings he took the points 6 times (which included the AWC Western Regional Specialty) and RWD three times (two of which were back to back Specialties at WWWA)!!

We are THRILLED to announce Jasper's exciting Specialty debut. At the AWC Western Regional Specialty Jasper went BOS in the Sweepstakes under breeder Kim White. He was not finished as he WOWED the regular class judge Ms. Janet Van Wormer (Chehalem) by taking WD/BOW/BOS for a 5 point major from the 6-9 puppy class at the tender age of 7.5 months old.

We are thrilled with this whole litter. Congratulations are extened to Deborah Bahm who has enjoyed success with Chelsea Lapis Lazuli at Debmar with his multiple BOB wins (over a special) from the 6-9 class. Furthermore, Chelsea Tourmaline owned by Andrea Myer, has enjoyed success by winning from the 6-9 class as well.

Quita wins her second CC at Hound Club Vict under Rhoda Winter Russell. This puts her halfway to her Australian Championship. Her first CC was at the Melbourne Royal, and she was Res CC the second day.

We have a new addition to the family. Look for our little "Tira" as she enters the show ring in January. She is imported from Canada, bred by Jenny McCartney and Max Magder . She is sired by the Drake son, Can Ch Chelsea Gherardelli and out of the specialty winning Am Can Ch Lorricbrook NV Us. We love her!!

Davis (Ch Chelsea Long Kiss Goodnight) has been hot on the coursing field. He finished his ASFA Field Championship October 13 with a first placement in a full stakes entry at the inaugural AZ Whippet Assoc. Lure Trial. He is closing in on his AKC field title with 9 points both majors!
